Diagnostic accuracy of procalcitonin as a marker of neonatal sepsis

Background: Sepsis is defined as “life-threatening organ dysfunction, caused by a dysregulated host response to infection”. Neonatal sepsis the most common cause of morbidity and mortality in neonatal period. Early diagnosis difficult.
